So moving bites
Our apartment complex was purchased by a new company recently, and they didn't inform us until the lease was up that renewal was NOT going to be an option, so we had to move VERY QUICKLY. Needless to say, this has been the most stressful and exhausting month I've had in a while (and I'm including working retail through Christmas in that!).
The upside is that we now have a nicer apartment that is actually cheaper! I've set up a corner for my own private arts. :) My computer desk is situated with action figures and ImagineFX magazines within easy reach, and I have a nice big window to look out of. ^^ It's lovely!
Now if I could just be
Oh hi, I forget all about this journal thing
Hey, long time no journal entry. XD I just don't say much on this site. I tend to save my internet ramblings for LiveJournal and tumblr.
So this Sta.sh thing. It's interesting. I'm not sure it was necessary, really, but it's interesting. Uploads are really fast, and it's nice to be able to come back and tweak and edit. I just tried it out with a few lame scans from a sketchbook, and I was pretty impressed with how slick it is. I'll throw the sketches in my scrapbook later. :)
Not much else is going on in my life. I work retail full-time, so this is a reeeeeeeeeally stressful season work-wise. I'm still drawing, though!
Hmm, noth
Computer Update
After weeks of fighting with the thing I came to a startling conclusion last weekend: the Vista Recovery partition on my hard drive was totally and completely corrupted. It wouldn't let me wipe it and reinstall Vista. It certainly wouldn't let me install Windows 7. I couldn't even get the thing to boot into safe mode anymore.
The solution? GO BUY A 1TB hard drive of course. :3
Unfortunately my recovery discs are crap, so my compy is still sitting in a repair shop while I wait on HP to send me new ones. But I'm okay with that. I even went in to take my computer back since it'll still be another week or so before I get the discs, and t
GRR (computer problems)
This time I can't figure out if it's still just Vista being Vista, or if my hard drive is corrupted. :|
Either way, once I get this fixed I'm jumping ship and grabbing Windows 7.
Does anyone know if Painter 9 works on that OS? I don't want to have to shell out more cash than I have to just to upgrade when my version is perfectly fine, but not being able to paint would kind of be a HUGE problem! XD
