And it's so PINK. Grah, pink. Iffy color. Looks good, though. Anywho, this was done for a monthly challenge on ImagineFX.com. The theme was "The Great Illusion" and I decided to NOT do a magician or something (although those who chose to pursue that path made some FANTASTIC art o.o). I figured what could be a more powerful illusion than a child's imagination? Many reference photos for the dresser/bureau/thingy, some lizard/snakes for the dragon. sxc.hu is your reference friend, oh yes it is. I'm still not pleased with the girl's face, but I just can't look at this one anymore. About two weeks (thank god I don't work on the weekends anymore!) Painter IX, PSP X. Edit: Here's a link to the animated.gif WIP. Just because I think it looks pretty cool. ^-^ |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. I think the thing I like most about this picture is it's...it's like it summarizes my entire life.
Just add in a LOT of characters from video games, books, cartoons, etc. in alongside all the others (and get a MUCH MUCH bigger mirror...>.> ), and that's totally me.

I think it's really hard to draw people from the back, but she looks GREAT! (I agree that in the mirror her face looks a bit odd, though.. I think she mainly looks older than she's supposed to be.) Hehehe, I like the bubbles! And the cute dragonthing!

And you know, I just noticed that she's wearing a glowstick around her neck... I'd somehow missed that detail the first three times I came and stared at this piece.
