The Halloween Project: Day 16
If you don't know who the Slender Man is, then go educate yourself. :P

I HAD to do a Slendy pic at some point this month. Slender Man is my new favorite monster. :3 Here we have a little girl out trick-or-treating, but what's that lurking in the forest behind her? She'd better scurry back to the lighted paths by the houses!

The leaf textures I blurred in and painted over were photographed by moi. I've been glaring at the trees in the area for weeks now, and their leaves FINALLY started to change colors and fall to the ground a few days ago. It's about time! I've been working on this one on and off for several days now, but I'm calling it finished.

See originially, I thought that was Jack Skellington. I had no idea about this Slender Man until now. Awesome job!

Well I'm glad to spread the message of the Slender Man. ;) He's probably one of the greatest internet things to become an actual monster. Thanks!

It's amazing. :3 There really isn't anymore to say about it. Spectacular contrast, perfect anatomy, creepy fog, unaware little girl, and scary faceless monster. what more could you ask for in a Halloween picture? I'm practically screaming in suspense for the rest of your artwork. What brushes do you use? :3 I think I'll do a story for it from the slender man's perspective.

The fog is drifting lazily around me, shrouding me slightly. The girl is unaware of my presence. My arms begin to stretch instinctively, awaiting the next steal. I creep towards the little girl and everything around her seems to scream run. I creep closer. She turns around and when she sees me her face contorts into a look of horror. My arms are now fully stretched and her face changes, as if I disappeared. She looks comforted and my arms lure her in. Yes... just a bit closer. Suddenly she's in my reach and I grab her. I cover her mouth so that she can't scream. Then I begin to run. I run back. Back to the cave where the others are. It's in my range of vision now and in seemingly no time I've arrived. I gently put the girl into the cave and count the children. there are now fifty. Yes, now the ritual could be performed. I grab a silver knife and see the children's panicked eyes in the reflection. I grab a child and slit his throat, blood splatters around me. I smear the blood onto a stone. I do the same to the next child, and put her blood on a different stone. I do this until all fifty are dead and I have fifty stones with the blood of different children on them. I arrange the stones in a circle. Then I stand in the center of the circle and take the knife to my arm. My own blood splatters to the ground. I step out of the circle just in time for it to begin to glow. Then they begin to step out. The slender men. My brothers had come to this world to help me rule it.

I hope you like it. :3 I made up a reason for why the Slender Man was stealing children and I hope you like it.

Let's see, my main brushes in Corel Painter are the oils (not the Artist's Oils, just the regular ones), blenders, sponges, pencils, and sometimes the acrylics. Oils + blenders gives you really smooth color blending that I've never been able to achieve in Photoshop, although I know it's possible because look at all of the beautiful digital paintings made with that program! :wow: Those people are wizards, I tell you!

AMAZING story as usual! The reflection of the eyes in the knife was a nice touch, very movie screenshot like in my head. :D

Oh cool. I'm still getting the hang of Corel but who knows, maybe someday I'll be as good as you! *crosses fingers*

Thankies. :3
