Pretty lame title for something I've spent a few months on. Blegh. And also HOLY CRAP IT'S NOT A SPEED PAINTING! *shocked face*
This was painted for my great-aunt. She wanted a big, beautiful, realistic lion. Thank goodness for stock photography and a free local zoo.
I think his nose still needs some work (is something crooked about it? I can't tell anymore) but this is pretty close to done. I'm very proud of the fur, and pay no attention to the dark and lazy background. XD

Ooh, I'm so glad you like the lighting. It kind of just turned into a way to cover my laziness. XD Thanks for the comment!

Wooooow, that's one really awesome lion painting! 8O I wish I could do something that too. Nice details. And the feathery blurry look is a nice effect. And yeah, I agree... the contrast looks cool. Really makes the pic come to life.

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
